Barristers’ branding: Bridge Studio was set with the challenge of creating a brand for this prestigious barristers chambers. The aim was to create a bold yet approachable identity for a modern barristers chambers.
For Gatehouse Chambers, Bridge Studio partnered with web development agency Square Eye to craft a brand identity that balances prestige with accessibility. The design takes inspiration from Art Deco, with geometric typography that conveys both strength and sophistication. A rich yet contemporary colour palette centred around a deep ‘Gatehouse Green’, complemented by Aqua, Mint, and a refined Gold—reinforces a sense of trust and high-end professionalism. This was balanced with a friendly tone of voice.
The bold logo mark, a circular motif formed from intersecting lines, represents structure, unity, and a forward-thinking approach. Every element, from typography to colour usage, was carefully considered to reflect Gatehouse Chambers’ position as a distinguished yet progressive legal practice.
The personality of the brand was set during a workshop. One of the exercises used is called 'Personality Sliders' where the team place their votes between two extremes of types of personality. One member of the team, who has sufficient authority, is delegated a decided. The decider stops group-think while taking into account the opinions of the team.
Brand manual
A lean brand manual was created that was easy to use while retaining all the important information the chambers needed about their brand and to brief in future creatives.
