Making bulk payments simple, scalable, and trusted

 

Managing thousands of financial transactions at once is a core challenge for modern fintechs. For one of our clients, a leading payment provider, the bulk payment journey was slow, error-prone, and difficult for both internal teams and end users to navigate.

 

They needed a UX design solution that could:
• Streamline complex workflows for bulk transactions.
• Ensure clarity and compliance in a highly regulated environment.
• Provide a dashboard that scaled easily as transaction volumes grew.
• Increase user confidence and reduce processing errors.

 

Bridge Studio was brought in to redesign the bulk payment platform from the ground up, focusing on user experience, interface clarity, and product scalability.

User-centric fintech UX design

We treat fintech UX challenges as a balance of functionality, trust, and speed. For this project, our approach was divided into key phases:

 

1. Research & discovery

  • Stakeholder workshops to understand internal and customer pain points.

  • Mapping of current workflows and identification of friction points.

We developed personas around core user types:

  • Finance Teams focused on speed, accuracy, and compliance reporting.

  • End-to-end user journeys designed to minimise clicks and cognitive load.

  • A clean interface using neutral greys and a signature highlight colour (yellow) to draw focus.

The redesigned platform turned a complex payment process into a clear, guided experience:

  • Dashboard Overview → real-time insights into transactions, statuses, and exceptions.

  • Bulk Upload & Processing → intuitive workflows with error validation upfront.

  • Compliance & Audit Trails → automated logging for transparency and regulation.

  • Responsive UI → accessible across desktop and mobile for financial teams on the go.

A simple colour guide was developed and was then expanded into a design system for the fintech

Final design

The final web app used intuitive fintech UX design to make complex processes appear simple through reordering the site architecture. Card-sorting was used to rename certain sections that made more sense to the end user.
